Thank You, Judy. I know about the messages posted all over the various forums throughout the cyber world and know most have been deleted as I do get Daily Digests from them. We are not commenting on them nor are we acknowledging them. This other group has split off from this one, has stolen posts and donations from this site and will claim many things which are not true.

They are sealing their own fate as far as I am concerned as many can see through their lies. I am refraining from even having my name associated with them anymore so I don't comment. I am building THIS site to be a RESOURCE for rescue and once I start to build the links page, I will certainly link to you.

It is important to me that people who know me, know that I don't steal and I don't lie and I don't have to defend that. They cannot say the same.

Well, I did get to read the Daily Digest from The Zoo, this morning. All I can say is...

WOW and Thank You.

You were dead on with most of your comments. As said in the thread, they have sealed their own fate with their negative comments, nastiness to friends, adopters and those in other forums; their theft, self righteousness and slander will be seen for what it is. Lies and slander have a way of coming back, when you least suspect it.

We are hoping to build this site into a resource that people can use and are welcome to ask their questions and not be made to feel stupid or be afraid to ask. It was supposed to be a "collective" in the beginning, it became the domain of a self important dictator and now we hope to bring it back to a collective. We appreciate your "refreshing" comments and we will try hard to live up to your faith in us.

You are more than living up to rescue's mission...and quietly getting your ducks in line and beginning to strengthen all that you have outlined you want to do and are doing. And as you grow and change we will all stand beside and with you on this journey. Rescue people help rescue people. I know in the darkest days it does give pause to wonder about accomplishment, but, for you and your members, for me, the sun is shining and great days are ahead. Dust settles so we can look around ultimately at the monument we have created and we share in saving lives. Just go for it! Go for it! And anything I can do to help here in South Florida, give a shout. I just drove a litter of kittens without their Mom 50 miles to fosters to be fed with baby doll bottles! That's how we rescuers help each other and grow and thrive all over the Country. And I can rely on that rescue if I ever need help with a Doodle dog. Fondly, Judy

why the bashing of another rescue? isnt the most important thing saving dogs? i thought this would be a nice place to join, to learn, to volunteer and to find a dog to love. is this the direction this site is going to continue? i look forward to your replies.

No, and that is why we have not partaken in a campaign that has been taking place against us. We have not in any way "bashed" another rescue, nor would we. As long as the dogs are served, it should not matter and we will not go farther with this. It was a discussion started by someone who is a friend to our endeavor here and that is as far as it will go, here. Elsewhere, I cannot say.

Suzanne, this is not about this site. This site looks terrific IMHO. I happened to have been on the recieving end of some mean spirited thoughts and language by another rescue organization...one that seems to have a record of doing that periodically to people they deem not worthy of having a modicum of understanding or intelligence. When it came into my life as a rescuer, I was shocked, it was quite frankly beyond comprehenion...and I'm a fairly liberal person who has been in rescue work all of my adult life. As well I am currently the e-agent for a location for donations to the primary veterinarian of very, very ill or injured Doodle dogs. My career, prior to retirement, was a very public one and a respected one nationally. The rescue group of which I speak did not agree...at their Board level...with something I said on a forum, immediately they began what they thought was a private chat. However, the chat was one with words that would make a truckdriver blush if you know what I mean...and it was in reference not only to me, but a vast array of other "well-known" rescuers...including some here. I took them to task on it, would take them to court if necessary. For that chat...apparently unknown to them was linked across the internet to speeches I have given, publications I've written, Boards I was and am on, basically to many things in my career then...and work I continue to do in my non-rescue field. I'm assuming the same is true of the others who were discussed. I took them to task in a public place and at a time of my choosing, and I have had support for that from across all of the rescue forums in which I participate...even some I don't! And the reason I have recieved that support is because it would not happen here, would not happen on other rescue sites, and in my long history has never happened before. It is a small but vocal minority acting in the name of "rescue". Those of us like Lynn and I and others who work at higher admin. levels of rescue are simply holding our collective breath, waiting for the next high heel to drop. This is MOST unusal, believe me. We are all to busy in rescue to conspire, don't hurt but help if you understand me. I will be very sad, very sad if you don't stay right here after finding this site and help.
Every organization must have people like you to join. This issue is related to one group...and that one group is now having to deal with the fall out of their behavior all over the internet. So, here's a great place to be...doing the work most all of us do and always encouraging people to be with us in the journey. Think of it as one bad apple in the bowl, and in 40, years trust me when I tell you, it is the first such issue I have ever seen and frankly, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people hope the last we ever see. Follow the lead here and reward yourself with a wonderful group of people with a mission and I will hope to see you in the months and years ahead. Judy

I am very sincere about finding a rescue which I can call home, put my energy, time, heart & soul not to mention donations to.
I find this discussion very disconcerting to say the least so I did as you suggested - I read the zoo posting. I don't understand why Andy, whom you said is not a director of the site that wronged you, was attacked in your first sentence. I would be so nervous about posting here in case you and I ever disagreed.
I also googled your name and nothing i found even suggest that any of whatever was said was linked across the internet to speeches I have given, publications I've written, Boards I was and am on, basically to many things in my career. Would you please share that with me.
I am unclear how you could have read information on a chat that was private! isn't that what 'private' chats are about - not to have those who should not read it, read it. Will that happen here in this site? I must be very careful to which site I entrust with my privacy with.
I am sorry to ask such delicate questions since I am new here but I must get as much info before I jump in with all 4 paws! I hope you understand. I must be very careful for my personal life.

Suzanne, there is a long history behind all this and we would rather this be finished and done with. Neither Judy, nor myself wish to go through all the details of the history or this website or the establishment of the other "new" site.

As you are friends with Adrianne, I would suggest you ask her about the details of the story. She will give you her side and as for mine, it does not matter as I am just glad to be free of it.

Suffice it to say, there has been a split on this site and I am in the process of rebuilding it into what our original goals were. I am not looking to drag up or drag anyone through, anything.

You are welcome to be a part of this site and help question and discuss rescue related matters but I do not wish to continue this line of questioning. We will not be forming our own rescue here, so the only way you might find a dog is through our listings or another rescue. If you decide to leave, I wish you all the best and the great hopes that you can find a rescue to call home. If you decide to stay, we will not be entertaining bad-mouthing either in private or in public. Thank you for your concerns and I am not offended.
