Hi All,
I am new to the group and am looking for a Doodle. I have to say they seem like amazing dogs. I had a pure breed Australian Shepherd that was our everything and always thought I would get another one. I can't believe I am feeling the same way towards a Doodle. In a perfect world I would find a young blonde big girl Doodle..but we shall see. I believe dogs come to thier families at the right time and place so I am open.
Please keep us in mind for any Doodles in my area...
Jill
Hi, I'm so very sorry to hear about your Aussie. My family have always had Aussies and they are more than just a dog, they're almost human in their ability to communicate. When we lost our last one it was as if a very close family member had died. My husband immediately went out and bought another. For a long time I was not too thrilled...he was never going to be as well-behaved or as funny and as loving. But now I just love him and I couldn't imagine life without him.
I am now fostering a big young blonde female Doodle. Too bad I'm in Arizona. She really is so sweet. I've had some trials with her (she must have come from a completely neglectful household) but she gets more well-adjusted every day. She really is striking and I get lots of compliments on her when we're out. She was probably abandoned because she grew out of her adorable puppy phase into her naughty adolescent phase. And all she needed was a little direction in good behavior. I hope you find your sweet rescue soon!
Gwen-
Thanks so much for your kind note..I know what you mean about the human Aussie power its amazing..
If you hear of any dogs in my area please let me know..
Best,
Jill
Hi Jill- There is a goldendoodle named CJ up for adoption in Kingston, NC. He is an owner rehome through IDOG. www.idog.biz Go to the adoptable doodles list. Good luck!! : )
Kevin-
Thats so funny..I have been in touch with Shannon at IDog about CJ. She has emailed the owner twice and not heard back. He looks great and I would love to go visit him. I have my application in with them and am just waiting.
Thanks so much for looking out for me!!!
Jill
Kevin and Jill, our Adoptable Doodle Listings are mostly from Petfinder. On PF, doodles are listed under many different names. Jacquie spends many hours a week going through PF and other listing sites, just looking for doodles. If you are looking for a doodle, our listings, IDOG and PooMix are the only places to find ONLY doodles.
Adrianne-
Thanks so much for your note! My perfect find would be a young (approx 1 year) cream Goldendoodle with non-wool coat..but I will know our dog when I see him or her. I would drive like up to 12 hours or so I guess..it would depend maybe more. Please keep me posted..most important is personality and temperament.. That's the reason after an Aussie for 15 years I am looking for a doodle..
Thanks!
Jill
Thanks for sending her along. I dont think its a perfect match..Need to find a more socialized dog and my kids are under 12. They are great with dogs but need a dog that's used to kids around..
Thanks again so much
