We adopted him 3 years ago on the 6th of April. I will never forget that date, since DH had a kidney transplant on 4/2 and was home from the hospital a day when I asked him if he wanted to go look at a owner rehome doodle with me. He said he felt up to a ride and we drove across town to South Phoenix and found the best dog ever! He was chained to a tree outside in the dirt and was a dirty brownish color. When he was put on the leash he was bounding up and down with energy and I looked at DH and he said "load him up, I know you aren't leaving without him."
