MEET GUNNER in MA
Gunner was surrendered to Oodles of Doodles Rescue because his family just didn't have the time to give him. He was underweight, needed to be neutered and starved for attention. One of our long time members, Mary, who had volunteered before to foster, was in the perfect place to save him.
Mary said when Gunner first came to her, he was a wild man. He had not been able to expend his energy in his former home, which is very important for these dogs. They NEED to run, they NEED play, and they NEED to have attention. Gunner was no different.
Mary started working on his manners, he was neutered and he was able to get lots of exercise with Mary's 2 Doodles. Now, Gunner is a sweet, lovable and happy, Labradoodle boy and is ready to find his very own Forever Home.
Gunner needs an active family, who will continue to give him their love and attention. He needs a Fully Fenced (Physical Fence) Yard and be able to run and play. He is still a baby, 3-4 years old, is a high energy young dog who loves to play, is very sweet and loves to be with his people.
Gunner is a big boy (he should be about 80# but is still under weight) and is working on his leash manners but will pull and will need someone used to having large dogs and able to manage and train them. If you would like to be considered to adopt Gunner, you should have a physical fenced yard, no very young children (he seems indifferent to cats out the window, but we just don't know), and gets along with other dogs.

Thank you, Kerry. Mary did all of the work and deserves the kudos. But we, Thank you for all you did to help, too and Adrienne for bringing us all together. We are very happy that Gunner will have a Forever Family another doodle brother and be happy and loved for the rest of his life.
You did a wonderful job with him, Mary. Thank you so much for bringing him into your home and your hearts. Fostering can certainly be a very rewarding experience and I know it is hard to let them go (I still get teary), but knowing you helped find their Forever Home is the best feeling. I am proud of you. Thank you from all of us at Oodles of Doodles Rescue Collective. You are now part of a very special family and a Rescue Angel, in our eyes.
Sweet!!
It sounds like he is really coming along. What a difference from when we first got him. Hopefully once this "storm of the century" has passed, we will find his perfect home. Thank you so much for helping him.
Not yet. I have had a few inquiries but been a quiet week I guess because of Back to school. It will pick up soon. Thank you for connecting us all.
I am so happy that Gunner has found so many rescuers that care so much. Can't wait to hear about his forever home.
That's great, Mary. I am so glad he is doing well. He looks so much better in the new pics, too. I think you are right, he just needed someone to spend the time to teach him. Hugs!
Thanks, Kerry. Mary says he is actually doing great since his neuter. He is calmer and more lovable. He is really coming along and will be a wonderful family member for some very lucky family. Thank you for helping Gunner get to us and to a whole new life.
