The Doodle Messenger has an emergency!

Time is of the essence for our newest Doodle in Need.
Please read the story of this sweet labradoodle puppy, rescued from a neglectful home, only to have an accident and break her leg badly. The vet says surgery needs to be done right away for best chance of success. thank you so much for your kind comments and uplifting spirit. everyone here on oodles and on DM have been great. My only wish was that Missy get to live out a Puppies Life like She should And thanks to oodlesofdoodles and the DM and all of the wonderful members of these sites and some of my friends Missy will get to be the active playfull cheerful puppy She wants to Be

I told you we could do it, David. There really are good people still in this world and people in the "doodle world" are extraordinary. I am proud to be part of this community and we'll keep blasting it until Missy has her surgery. Then we'll be praying and rooting for her recovery. You'll see! Give Missy a big hug from all of us.

They are still a few hundred dollars short for the procedure. It is already at a greatly reduced cost and it should have been done two weeks ago when this TEN MONTH old rescue pup broke her paw (story in Doodle messenger link). She was taken in by a family last Dec from an abusive owner. If this dog doesn't get help she may lose her leg or never walk correctly again.

and UPDATE as of today:

Missy has not had the surgery yet but we did take her to the vet on Wed and she has developed an infection at the break point. He put her on antibiotics and said we need to wait no longer than a week. She has $911 on her account so we still need $457 for the surgery. She is in good spirits, although the antibiotic is causing her to not want to eat and can't wait to run and play. Missy has an appt this coming Wed, the 25th, to check on the infection and change her splint. At that point the dr will decide what the next step should be-whether to continue with plans for the surgery (if it isn;t too late) or to try something else if it is too late for the surgery. We have created a facebook page for her but are not getting a response. We have her posted on my FB page and David's as well and are telling everyone we know what is going on and how to access oodlesofdoodles.org and DM.

Our entire family wants to thank you for all your are doing for Missy. When this is over and we have June rent paid we are going to start giving back. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!

90 away this is the best news i have had since i found oodles of doodles and Doodle Messenger and began receiving help from the other doodle owners and lovers out there. Missy is schedualed for surgery on thursday so I am in great Hopes that we will get the other $90 and Get MISSY on her way to being the Healthy, Playful, Happy, Loving Doodle she is.
