MEET RANSOM - A D O P T E D WooHoo!

Ransom is in Florida outside Tampa. Here’s the story:

Ransom was owned by a woman who had traumatic brain injuries following a car accident because he could warn her of upcoming seizures. She’s gotten much sicker since then and can no longer handle a 75-pound boy in an apartment.

Ransom needs a fenced backyard to run and a strong hand to control him, but he’s very well-behaved and good on a leash with a head halter. He’s great with other dogs and is good with most people but he definitely prefers women. He was purchased as a Great Pyrenees but he’s probably a Goldendoodle or Labradoodle. He doesn’t shed but he does need regular grooming to keep him looking his best (he’s fine in a walk-in shower though!)

He’ll be three years old in February, has been neutered and microchipped and is heartworm negative.

If you are interested in adopting Ransom and giving him the best Forever Home, please fill out an online application that will be forwarded to the family.

Can't see his picture.  Am interested in a companion to my Doodle, Daisy.  Live in Orlando.  Haven't fenced the yard yet, but will in needed for new family member!  : )

Marty Melton

Can not see his picture. What color is he?

I don't understand why you can't see the pic. Susan said the same thing. I could see it. I re-did it, can you see it now?

Marty, send in an app and I will forward it on. He is near Tampa.

I can see this one now! He doesn't look that large...great looking doodle!

Fingers and paws are crossed for one of our members who has been waiting for her perfect Oodle. She sent an app yesterday and the foster mom loves this family. Hopefully, we will have some good news today.

Let's hope the new application is a sucess! A new home for Christmas would be a wish come true! :)

Congratulations, RRC Member Susan R. We want details and pictures. When it is supposed to be...it happens.

We are so excited!! I didn't sleep last night. I can't wait to bring Ransom home and yet my heart goes to his mom who is suffering over this. We will love him to pieces and I will post a ton of pictures and let everyone know how he is getting along. Thanks for your help and involvement, Lynn. The RRC is a wonderful organization.

Congratulations Susan! What a wonderful gift for Christmas!! We'll be waiting for the pics and the story of Ransom with your family. Kiss that beautiful nose for us!!

Hi everyone!

After a very long drive, Ransom has joined our family. He is a very laid back boy and had a mostly uneventful meeting with his brothers and sister. There was a little growling and some posturing, but nothing major. He mastered the doggy door right away. What a smarty! We have a cat and he chased a feral cat in his old home and injured his owner by pulling her down a ramp, so I was watching for any trouble, but there was none at all. They smelled each other and parted ways. He is a big boy, 70-75 pounds, but very graceful and well behaved indoors. I took a few pictures, but he is a little camera shy. I will post more as we all get more acquainted. My husband said that Ransom is home now, where he belongs, and we all feel that way. It was love at first sight. Thanks for all the kind words. Thanks to Vicki for being so sweet and helpful and paving the way. Here's a picture-Lily Doodle on the left, Ransom Doodle on the right.

Oh my, Susan. He is even more beautiful than I thought he was. They are both gorgeous doods. See? When it's meant to be...it happens.
Lynn, Thank you so much for your involvement. I have been a lurker for a long time, always looking at the pictures, but never posting or acting. He is beautiful and for no particular reason he instantly attached himself to me, not to my husband or daughter. I feel so bad about it....NOT!! He is a love and I was hooked instantly. Thanks again. I'll post soon.
