Thanks Lynne, I'm pretty darn thrilled to say I'm a member of this group, because Chennie is just such a fantastic dog and well worth the search and wait. We've made a great home for her and she seems as happy as we are to be part of our family.

Hi Lynne! Sorry I havn't been around here much. I've been so busy at GTTD's and with my dog cookie business, still trying to get sales for that. We are taking our site premium and I'm trying to figure out the ads part. We are putting our board and committee together for our 501 and things are just busy. Plus...SPRING IS HERE and the dogs need extra outside time. LOL
Hi Lynne, I typed a reply before, but don't think it went through. I love grooming your pack, and Ginger is just soooo adorable (well, they all are, but Ginger is a special girl).
Hi Lynne-
Yes, I did find the magic buttons. Your site is awesome! As you can guess, that's Bobby, my very curious pound puppy. He's looking for a non-shedding friend since he takes the cake at shedding right now!
Take care-
Patty
Lynn,
Thank you so much for understanding and your kind and thoughtful comments. I hope I can learn plenty from you. Like my sister, who used to work for the vet as a vet assistant with a degree in biology, she has a houseful too and no time for computers because she is very dedicated to take care of her two sons, a labradoodle and a loving husband.
I am looking forward to a wonderful 2009 year of learning more about doodle breeds with like-minded group!
Luckily, Mark kept his job. We're waiting for "reassignments" today. Good times.
I will definitely kick in my fundraising skills soon. Have to be able to breathe for a moment. I've given it some thought and, considering the economic climate, am trying to think up a variety of options.
I promise I will be back full force soon!!! You can't get rid of me that easily!
Hey GIRLFRIEND!!! My days have been c-r-a-z-y, but I haven't stopped my doodle-thinking. I've been checking on the TX pups available, but most are in Houston Poodle rescue. Haven't had a chance to reach out to them yet.
I don't know if you know, but my husband is one of those lucky individuals who is in the journalism business. He is Deputy Sports Editor at The Dallas Morning News in charge of NFL, columnists and outdoors. Over the past two days, the paper has laid off 500 (more) people. He made the cut today, but we didn't know until basically the end of the day. Stress levels have been high, to say the least.
But I'm baaaaack. I am still a bit in a struggling mode with a certain organization who remain nameless.... because I still see on petfinder that a certain pet is still available when I have busted my non-existent balls to get applications in for it.
It has also helped to talk to Jaquie to find out that some of the dogs have been in foster for two or more years. Yikes! I am in process of setting up the ever-changing spread sheet of where the TX dogs are, where they are being fostered and by what agency, contact names, dates of entry into the "system", and hopefully dates of adoption.
I also am dying to get on the suggestion box because I have the type of personality that dives in. Good and bad, but just me. :)
Looking forward to the doodles and dames retreat that I will someday have time to organize. There will be a yoga instructor involved, as well as all the WT desserts that can be made with Eagle Brand, Cool Whip and cream cheese. xoxoxo
Hey Lynne,
I am afraid of what Jacquie may have said about me... I was walking and talking and I am kind of blunt... :)
Believe it or not, I never fostered the dog formerly known as Corbin. He went straight to his forever home and has been adopted. He was renamed Max and I went over this afternoon and took pictures of him with his new loves, Caroline and Abby. I will send them out tomorrow. He is a doll. The first foster that had him was correct when she said there was nothing wrong with him. I've got my fingers crossed for two more applicants that I set up today to get two of the three black puppies that were in the shelter together but needed socialization. Pat from IDOG has given me a little info about them and I am really hopeful that my applicants will be "selected". But, it's an honor just to be nominated, right? Yeah, right.
I vote that we have Doodlepalooza at our farm in east Texas in the fall. Jacquie will have to be in charge of the guest list since she seems to be a bit alpha... :)
Hi! Thanks to a little help from my neice and your great network, I found Zander. Hewas adopted. Good for him!!!! Thanks to everyone! I'm not giving up! Terry
Hi Lynne,
My aunt found Zander and he was adopted, thanks for all your help with her. It is amazing how this network can get people together and help one another. Thanks again
Hi Lynne, I couldn't cut and paste for some reason. I'll figure it out, but more importantly... My aunt wants to rescue a doodle. She actually found one that was perfect for her and now she can't seem to find him. She was going to fill out and application and went to find the dog and he was gone. Can you help us find him? His name was Zander and he was in a shelter in Cuba, New York.
