I'm about 25 miles west of Winston-Salem and NC doesn't have a lot in the way of Doodle Rescue yet but I believe that is changing. It is very easy to get discouraged but just hang in there. Sometimes you are dealing with other organizations which can be confusing. I filled out an application thru a VA org for a dog that was fostered in KY but was denied b/c they are small and couldn't make a home visit. Also, I want a non-aggressive dog that has the potential to get along with other animals and that isn't true of many Doodles.

It looks as if the # of Doodles available will just keep growing larger. Some people buy dogs like a new accessory and if it doesn't work, they sort of throw them away.

What should you do now? If you haven’t changed your icon photo to something more personal, it's easy to do...

Under the pawprint logo on your page click on "change photo" then "profile pic" blue/green box. Upload a pic from your computer...browse, add, done. Don't forget to click save on the bottom and you should now have your own icon pic. You can also make your page personal and add some of your own pics by following other prompts on your main page. Your page is yours to add, change or do with as you wish. Don't be afraid to explore it.

Come join some groups! There is a lot to learn. Don't forget to click on "Follow" or "Notify" in Forum and Discussions. That way you get an e-mail notice whenever someone posts. Join the Suggestion Box Group, too. Ask questions and play around. Let us know if you need anything.

Next, come join some discussions in the Main Forum, Start your own Blog and Join a few groups. Don't forget to click "Follow" or "Notify" in any discussion you wish to follow.
