Luke-owner surrender, Very impressed w/him-"Owner surrender" creates many questions-Why give up a dog-Problems, have heard horror stories.Humans could be the problem! He drove us crazy Monday night, but NOT Luke's problem-It is stress- Cokie's memories, a Vietnam Battle have lasted a lifetime, he wonders why was I the one who lived, what is my purpose on earth, am I living up to that. Our past memories lives w/large families, children, happy times which faded in post-marriage. Add poor Luke with scratching problem, Our frazzled nerves.I moaned, groaned, complained about this 45lb intact male apricot GoldenDoodle to the DRC ladies, Get him on transport now, they took time from their personal lives to making it happen. We pulled ourselves from self-pitty long enough to see that Luke's scratching was not due to nervousness as we allowed ourselves to believe-FLEES-now eradicated. Luke showed me exactly what I needed to see, his kind heart full of unconditional love trying to please this tearful, self absorbed human. Luke is delightful, he is completely off lead, displays a loyal disposition. We walked these mountain trails, Luke by my side listening for my every word. He sits, down, stay to verbal & hand signals, plays ball. 9 mths in a crate has'nt allow muscles to develop. His eyes look into our soul, No more scratching, slept all night beside our bed, wonderfully houstrained, have seen NO bad habits. He is our Christmas gift. 48 hours taught us not to quickly judge & we should count our blessings, not complain. Luke is a soulful & wants to please, dotes on your every word, well mannered, puppy chewing resolved w/a toy fecommended by local trainer, Cold Nose College. We wholeheartedly recommend Luke for any situation where will be mentally stimulated, NO long term crating, continued education. He is extremely smart. Head & tail are like a Golden, hair is scraggly, will send photos to Jackie, MJ & Cokie
