Thanks to the efforts of DRRC member Ellen Kurland and Kelly Legarreta of Gulf Coast Humane Society, Daisey and Mulligan have a new home!

DAISEY AND MULLIGAN AT THEIR NEW HOME

Kelly pulled these two wonderful dogs from her own shelter after they were surrendered due to the death of their owner and actually drove them to Ellen in Tampa for fostering. THANK YOU KELLY for entrusting us with these two beautiful doodles and THANK YOU ELLEN for being part of our team and for the amazing job that you did with fostering and finding them a forever home!...Also The DRRC would like to send thanks and doodle hugs and kisses to Nancy Willner who facilitated this adoption through Doodle World.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ERIC, MELINDA AND THEIR TWO CHILDREN CAROLYN AND SCOTT ON THE ADOPTION OF THEIR NEW FAMILY MEMBERS! THANK YOU FOR ADOPTING THESE TWO WONDERFUL DOGS AND FOR GIVING THEM A SECOND CHANCE FOR A HAPPY LIFE IN A LOVING HOME!

HERE'S ELLEN'S EMAIL REGARDING THE ADOPTION:

"Well, today was a great day! Daisey and Mulligan are at their new home as of today. I met this great couple from the e-mail blitz from Doodle World and the doodles are now living with Eric and Melinda and their two children Caroline and Scott in Tampa Fl. It seems like a great fit.

The kids are great with the dogs and the mother and father really seem like nice people. I am so sad. They are the best dogs. I really got attached to them and will miss them very much. I sent them along with three months of heart worm and flea protection, meds for a UTI, food, treats and their own beds. I am really having a hard time. Can't believe how attached I got to them so fast. My house is very quite now with only four dogs!"

I knew the story and am still choked up. I just love happy endings and these two have been through so much and now to have found their new forever home, hopefully, they will never experience loss again. Thank You to Ellen, Nancy and the new family for everything you have done to help these two beautiful dogs.
Wow, how wonderful! These two doodles look so happy with a new family! Ellen, you have done a tremendous good deed for the dogs as well as the family who adopted them.
