94204 Sweetie 11-mo-old Sheepdog boy mix is friendly and sweet. He does great with people and with other dogs. He will make a wonderful family pet.

This sweet pup is scheduled to die THIS Thur pm, Oct 29 at the high-kill Murray County Shelter in Chatsworth , GA (just north of Atlanta and just south of Chattanooga , TN )! Please help him live!!

NOTE: The pup must have a rescue lined up ASAP, but can stay at the shelter a couple days longer if needed. Free transport to Atlanta provided. Transport to the Northeast available.

I don't know . . . I found a dood on doodlekisses that looks pretty similar:

I emailed PON rescue just in case and I'll let you know what they say. PONs (Polish Lowland Sheepdogs) are pretty rare though (although I did find a Mudi in a shelter once).

Strange, as he is listed as adopted on petfinder.

You are not thinking of the doodle in Chickamauga, GA are you? That is the one that the shelter person wrote me not adopted, but another volunteer there said was adopted.....

Thanks Karen! That's great news, but I wouldn't count him as safe until we have it confirmed that he is out of the shelter. Does Fluffy Dog have someone to get him out? I've heard too many horror stories about shelters messing things up. I was helping chow rescue with a transport and when we went to pick the dog up from the shelter, the shelter had already put the dog down (this was at 8:00am). Even though we had just spoke the day before and they knew we were coming that morning. It was even written on the dog's cage card that she was safe and had rescue coming! Unfortunately I know of about 15 other cases where this has happened too. :(
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this beauty!
