Don't tell anyone....we have crabs at our house!

Florida Blue land crabs that is! They are driving the dogs insane! They crawl past the french doors on the edge of the cement and both Marlow and Sloan go bananas barking at them! We did not have them last year, so it was really odd that they have appeared this year.

Marlow wants to know what the heck this is............

LOL..me too, Sally! I just sprayed it on Marlow's entire body and Sloan's feet and the nape of her neck. (and my ankles!) The house smells like a sawmill! I went to the pet food store and she said we are in the height of flea season, but I am sure they don't have any! I have even given them a Capstar pill to make sure. Sorry, Lynne...I had to try anything in my power to help Marlow stop itching! I will let you know if it helps and my headache goes away...maybe the glass of wine I am having will help!

I actually like the smell of it, maybe you are sensitive. But it does dissipate after a bit. Fleas, ticks, flies and mosquitoes are sensitive to it too. Which is a good thing.

I already had some Burt's Bees  herbal insect repellent that I don't use either. It gives me headaches to smell it. It has some cedar oil in it along with castor oil, rosemary oil, lemongrass, citronella, clove and geranium oil. had great reviews online but after I put it on, all I can smell is the cedar oil....I must be sensitive to it.

I will try the cedarcide on the dogs feet...good suggestion. That shouldn't bother me!

The smell is more powerful when you first spray it. I just spray their feet n legs and their collar area (where you would put the frontline). It does get less potent after a bit. Maybe you get used to it, but it reminds me of my grandmothers cedar closet.

Cedarcide came and I can't stand the smell of it on me.....not sure if I want to smell it on Marlow either. Does the smell go away on the dogs pretty fast? It didn't on me!

I have a link to it on the center bottom of the main page. It's what I have been using for 3 years now instead of the spot-on treatments, like Frontline. That and DE are all I use anymore.

LOL..I am praying the crabs disappear soon! Supposedly a seasonal thing. I may try Cedarcide...I think I have tried everything else.
