Any moment now, our very own Director, Susan Decker and her family will have a BIG, WONDERFUL announcement for us.

Let me be the first to say CONGRATULATIONS!

She is a swimmer, too! We walked over to the neighbor's to water the plants outside while they are gone to Sweden and she was intrigued with the pool. I put my foot on the top step in the water and in she went......swam two laps and then came to the step. I had to catch her before she took off again...lol
Oh, what fun! Out of all my Doodles, only Ripley likes to swim. He jumped in the other night when we opened it. It was so cold, I couldn't even put a foot in and he went right in. What did Marlow do when he saw her?
They do feel grief, maybe differently than we do, but they do. When Magic died, Cody was terribly depressed. I had no other dogs, then. That's why I started looking right away. I thought it would take awhile to get another "perfect" dog like Magic. Then along came Ginger and she is "PERFECT." I always say that Magic sent her to us. Maybe that is why Sloan came this week. It was meant to be.
How fun!!! Is Marlow learn to swim yet?? Maybe he will want to follow her for now on!
When our other Golden Champagne passed away, our MaineCoon cat who was his best buddy, went on depression and only after we got Gamine ( one year after)and move away (two years after) that he started to be himself again... Now it will be his turn very soon, I feel it, and I'm trying to prepare myself but can we get really prepare to loose one of our sweetest baby after 17 years of commune life? I doubt it.
They had Marlow in the pool at the Doggie Daycare, still not his favorite thing....he looked at her and thought about getting in and then ran around the pool barking at her. Seemed like he was saying get out of there, you silly doodle!
No, you can never prepare....I had known for awhile that this would be Lola's last year, but didn't ever think it would come so soon.
I have 5 or 6 doggies doing that when Ripley goes for a swim. They are all chickens. I bought these floats that have a mesh center n you blow up the outer tube. All the other dogs will stand on the mesh and float around the pool but only Rip will climb up on one then jump off. You might try taking Marlow in with you as Sloan swims around he may go with her.

I am in love with Sloan..  how old is she?  Is that a labradoodle or a unknown doodle?  We are looking for that exact size because of our 3.5 year old twins.  We dont want super huge to knock around our house!  lol

I have searched the world over and we are still looking for our perfect doodle.  I have faith but its not easy!  Congrats on Sloan..  that is a beautiful dog but then again so is Marlow.  I have always admired him!

Sloan will 2 years old in August. She is an Australian Labradoodle. She is the most energy filled little dog I have ever seen....always investigating something..lol! She was rehomed from a family with a 5 year old girl....they got a little too wild together. She has a couple of issues, but then so do I! Marlow and she love to play and it has worked out great! Thanks for the congrats! :)
