This little ragamuffin is my latest foster Oodle. Just looking at her Petfinder picture told me I had to save her. She was just one day from euthanization in a South Carolina Kill shelter and came to NJ to find her Forever Family.

She look so sweet even with a poodle hair cut!! I'm sure she is very happy to be able to see the world around her! I love her colour!

I just got an email from the vets office:

We've seen some amazing changes in dogs from when they come into the shelter until they are being prepared for rescue or adoption. I think Zoey may be our unofficial winner of the "Most Changed for the Better" Award.

When I took her from the shelter to the vet's office for her services, she was mouthy and yappy and promptly pooped in her crate. Not a great first impression.

Bridget worked her magic, however, and can you believe your eyes? Along with the physical transformation she also got an attitude adjustment. Happy and loving and just a sweetie pie is what this dog is now. Who wouldn't be happier with that load of filthy, matted fur off of them and a proper lady-like hairdo?

Thanks to Bridget and the staff at Piedmont, Zoey is a healthy and beautiful dog whose lucky streak is just beginning. She'll be on her way to NJ next weekend to meet her foster mom Lynne and eventually go to her forever home, where we know she'll be treated in the queenly manner she was always entitled to but never found in SC.

Thanks to every one of you for making this transformation and happy life possible for Zoey!

Aww. What a lucky girl. Can't wait to see her after a good haircut and some of Lynne's homecooking! I have to check out Petfinder now.

She's not for me to keep, J. I am fostering her but I have more time to find her a home than I did with Elmo. I can't keep any more and won't. But if I can keep finding homes I am going to keep doing it.
