For two darling, little Schnoodle girls in who are currently living in Cornwall, NY. The family adopted these girls from me about a year ago. The young son has developed severe asthma, and they may have to rehome Thumbelina and Toto. They are heartbroken over this. I suggested they try removing the dogs from the home for a period of time - maybe one or two months - to see if it had any impact on her son's allergies; if it didn't, they could take them back home and continue to look for other solutions. Why do doctors always point the finger of blame at the family pets?!? I think it's just the easy way out for them. These dogs have lived with this family for a year, like I said - why would he suddenly develop allergies to them?

Anyway, the only photos I have of them are baby pictures - Liz (the Mom) doesn't really know how to send photos via email. I am attaching their baby pics here.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Thanks, Kary - my vet recommended Allerpet/d shampoo - have you tried it?

My boyfriend is allergic to dogs, but not to the hair. He is allergic to the saliva and is less allergic to Scout than he was to my boxers. We learned that if I bathe Scout every other month, he has a much smaller reaction. And they make allergen reducing shampoos that help. Not every allergy is the same but it's worth mentioning. I wish I could help but I don't have room for 3 dogs.

Yup - the Wave loves those waves so we're heading down to Padre Island mid-Feb. until early April, and then up to Hatteras, NC before heading back up home. Also going to Cabarete, Dominican Republic for a week at the end of Nov. for some windsurfing and to Whistler for snowboarding for a week at the end of Jan. The Wave goes to my brother's for those 2 weeks - those are the only holidays she doesn't get to spend with us. We drive by Little Rock on the way down to Padre Island - maybe we could hook up for a little visit on our way through one time? cheers. Janis

Going to catch some waves, huh? Have fun, and send pics periodically! Tell The Wave I said hello!

Hi Elizabeth! If the timing was better, I would have been willing to help out on this short-term foster. Unfortunately, we (including the Wave!) are travelling until late April. Hope they find a temp home. Janis
