Faye, Noodle sounds like a lucky pup! So glad you found her! My two dogs were owner rehomes. I was searching for a companion for my dalmatian who was getting old and had decided I didn't want much shedding like she did. I settled on a doodle and started searching this website. I had several that did not work out for one reason or the other and one day there was a posting of a dog I thought was in CA. We were living in AZ at the time and decided we would drive there if we had to. When I called, he was actually in AZ and only about 15 miles from our house. Went to see him and brought him home! He was tied to a tree everyday outside in the AZ heat and only went into a crate at night in the carport. He had been bought at a puppy store in the mall for the grandkids, but then grew up inot a big dog! The people's neighbor finally talked them into giving him up. He was a reddish brown when we brought him home, but the more often he was bathed, the lighter in color he got. He is a very light cream color and the most loving dog! Marlow is his name and we have had him 3 years now. This past May, I saw a little chocolate labradoodle that was being rehomed from WVA and I brought her to my house. My dalmatian passed away two days later at the age of 15, so I guess it was meant to be. Marlow and Sloan are best friends and she helped Marlow and the rest of the family get over the loss of Lola. I just love them so much! This website has helped me find them both and give them a good home!

Hi Susan, We have been going to our local shelter often....bringing supplies....I don't usually go back where the dogs are because it always breaks my heart....I just can't handle it....for some reason, I started looking at the dogs and saw my little pup there....she just jumped with joy when she saw me....she had been picked up from animal control....no one had filled out an application for her so we did......when we got her she was sick with Kennel cough....she had to do two rounds of antibiotics and cough med to get rid of it...at first she was so upset if I left the room....and when I came into the room she would be jumping and throwing her toys in the air from being so happy.  She is now pretty much over the anxiousness of me leaving the room....we put her in her crate when we leave the house....but never stay long because we don't want her to be afraid that we have abandoned her.  Well, we also have a chihauhau "Meatball" and meatball kept getting into Noodles crate...so we had to go out and buy her a crate too...Now they sleep beside each other in their crates...in front of the radiator in our living room.  They get along good together.......there is something so special about Noodle....she loves her toys and plays with them and carries them everywhere with her.....she loves to fetch and is so very smart....we are so blessed to have added her to our family.  We had her spayed and dewclaws out two weeks ago and she is fine now....had to keep her quiet for that time....wow that was hard...but we held her a lot.....tell me about your oodle....I want to hear other stories, too.
