MEET FLYNN - http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/18035063

Flynn is a 3 month old, first gen. Labradoodle boy from a BYB (puppy mill) in PA. This sweet boy was adopted by his "breeder" to a family in New Jersey. He was returned to the "breeder" because he wasn't holding down his food and their vet said it would be an expensive surgery to fix an esophagus problem.

Flynn has only been with me for a few hours but in that time, he met my pack, played with some puppy chew toys that I found around the house and has eaten my homecooking several times and has had no problems. I started by giving him a few bites here and there and he held it down and came back for more. Just plain chicken, smashed peas and brown rice.

I went looking at the papers that came with him and the family was feeding Purina Puppy Chow. Could this be the problem? We will see. I have an appointment for Monday and some housetraining to do, then Flynn will be looking for his new Forever Family.

That is a very bad choice of foods anyway, byproducts artificial additives. Cheap food. No wonder.

He is a cutie pie. Hopefully he was misdiagonosed, it won't be the first time. It surley could be the food. Alot of people feed only dry, would they eat bread only, I don't think so.

He's doing well. I just made him some breakfast: chicken, smashed peas, brown rice, yogurt and mushed some of his Prescription Diet in hot water and he gobbled it all up. He is laying on the floor playing with some puppy chew toys I had from my last puppy. He is so cute - all knees and elbows - a happy, funny boy.

Thanks, all. Flynn did pretty well his first night. He cried for about 1/2 hour then settled down and was still quiet when I let him out of his "soiled" crate. But he went out with the pack and did peepee. He was happy to see everyone this morning and in his excitement threw up a bit of clearish fluid. But he went right on with his happy puppy dance. We walked around the yard for a bit and in his happiness, he did a pee and poop outside. We threw a little party...all before coffee. Having that now!

So, how did Flynn do with his first "sleepover"?

The potty training can be easily fixed with a little dedication. Most potty accidents happen during TV & computer time when folks are home! I hope Flynn's tummy get's better soon.

what a dollface! I luv the long legginess of a tall pup. So he is not potty trained and was vomiting? I wonder what other ''reason'' he was returned. Sounds as if this sweet fella was waiting for Lynne to get word of him. Real food for real dogs! And lottsa lovin'= magic! Problems solved, right? LOL! Sounds good to me!

This is his blog where I will be keeping everyone posted. I won't be putting him up for adoption for awhile yet. Thanks for your interest, John
