Meet Chanel

Chanel is a very sweet, beautiful girl who is looking for a Forever Home and a family of her own to love her forever. We believe she may be a Goldendoodle, but sometimes it is hard to tell with rescues.

This poor girl was dumped in terrible condition at a high kill rural shelter and was extremely matted and skinny. She has gone to the groomers for a makeover and in her new pics you can see what a beauty she is!

Chanel is very sweet but can be a little timid of new people. She loves playing with other dogs and loves to be outside. She is very quiet and well behaved....just wants to be loved and cared for.

Chanel is about 1 yr old and if you have room in your heart for this sweet girl, please fill out an online application.

The ideal family for Chanel will have a fenced yard for her to call her own and tend to be the homebody type. She loves to sit and watch TV and snuggle. She is fine with other dogs but we do not know about cats.

Older children would be preferred as she is very mellow but she is great with kids.

Chanel will available for adoption in February, after her spay surgery, recovery and transport to NJ.

Please don't wait, this beautiful girl will not be available for very long but we will be very selective with finding her new family.

Adoption Donation - $395

All Oodles of Doodles dogs are located in foster or family homes. We do not have a central location. Any transportation needs or costs will be covered by the adopter.

Sounds like you, your family, and the 6 pack handled it quite well. I am sure she will come out of her shell in no time. I am so glad she is with you safe and sound, and enjoying that yummy home cooking. She is a beauty - I love big dogs. OK, I am going to pester for pictures now. Pleeeeaaaase :-)

Admin Comment by LM Fowler - Admin on February 12, 2011 at 11:07pm: She's here! What a beautiful girl. She is so mellow and shy, though. She is finally starting to relax and she actually wagged her tail a few minutes ago.

From the transport, she was very scared, tail tucked between her legs. Of course, my pack all had to jump all over her and smell every inch of her, when we got home. She was fearful of all the attention and I let her sit in the car in the garage for a bit. After awhile, my son, Dan walked her in while I took everyone outside. She came out with us but was still afraid. I fed her my usual first meal of chicken, brown rice, smashed peas, pumpkin and fish oil which she gobbled up. Then she ate a biscuit and started to relax. We went outside a few more times and she got the idea of where she is supposed to go and on the third trip, did her business.

Right now, she is laying by my chair, finally content.

I have a few apps I like and will start the search for her Forever Home, tomorrow. For tonight, Chanel is safe, warm and loved and far away from that kill shelter in KY and whoever abused her.
