Guess who's coming to NJ?

Surrendered to a kill shelter down South, Dolly is a sweet.......

What breed do you think she is?

Dolly is a gorgeous Itty Bitty who found herself in a Southern Kill Shelter and was rescued and was transported to NJ. Dolly is very sweet and is a little shy at first, but warms up and trusts quickly. She is only about 15 pounds and we would prefer a home without small children and a physical fence. Dolly is being fostered in Toms River, NJ, and her foster mom says she is near perfect. If you are interested in adopting Dolly and giving her a Forever Home, please send an application.

Yes, definitely, Eddie and Shirley's security, at this point, depend on each other especially with this stress of traveling. Timmy is relentless.  He's such a lively stinker, I feel sorry for his foster.  Timmy has been in a pen at the Vet for so long, he is gonna run wild for days.  LOL I sent you the link to Angel at the humane society in North Carolina whose owner was killed in the tornado.  I was also told there was a good looking Labradoodle there on death row, too. If possibly, you had room for any of those poor guys, I would do whatever I could to help with that.

That's fine. I spoke to Carla this morning and this transport will be more relaxed, I think as there are only 3 dogs on it at this point. The two of them will probably feel more comfortable in one anyway. Thanks for everything, Gail. It has been a pleasure working with you.

These wild things that I will be sending this next time are going to need wire crates.  Shirley and Eddie will happily share a crate.  The good news is that the wire crates are the same price as the one Dolly came in.

Nah, never monotonous. One of the reasons why I wanted the forum here on my website was so people could talk and watch the stories of the dogs. It lets all of us keep up on their stories and join in their joys. Sometimes, I get updates a year later. It's wonderful to see scared, shy doggies turn into happy, loved family members. I still miss each and every one of my fosters. They each take a piece of my heart.

Thanks, Lynn.  This just made a good day better. I still miss her though. Yes, I am quite monotonous.  LOL

Thank you for taking the time to find Dolly the perfect home. No reply necessary because I really understand how busy you must be and how time consuming this "business" can be. When Eddie and Shirley get there, it would be a good idea for them to be fostered in a home together for awhile. Eddie's whole security right now is in being with his Momma.  He watches her in order to form his opinion of people and his surroundings. Of course, he is very young, and once he gets established, that will change. He is no longer timid with me, but when the guys came to work this morning, he nearly died from fright. He is definitely a "ladies'" man and obviously was in an abusive environment that included a male.

Lisa, Dolly's foster mom says, Dolly is doing very well. She loves to run around the yard with her foster brothers and sisters and when out on a walk, the neighbors all fawn over her. She is learning to be the princess she was meant to be. I have gotten a few apps on her, but haven't seen "the one" yet. We still have time. Lisa gave her a bath yesterday and will send pics today.

Just checking up on Dolly. Is she still doing well? Wait until you get my next "two bundles of joy!" They are wild, but coming right along. Very house trained and crate trained so far. Good luck with the leash with these two "circus babies." I now call Shirley "Twirley Shirley." She cannot walk in a straight line.  She must twirl as she goes....and I must say that this does nothing for my vertigo.  LOL She can also walk on her back feet and twirl. And shy little Eddie is still shy, but in such a good way.  He is very respectful, very quiet, but quite the comedian himself. He can run backwards on two feet. And those ears.  He has the most expressive ears.  You have heard of wearing your feelings on your shirt sleeve...well, Eddie, wears his feelings on his ears. He has different ears for different moods. Hard to explain, but you will see what I mean when he gets there. Shirley takes care of all his discipline and makes sure he stays in line. He doesn't care.  He just outruns his fat little Mommy. Eddie is nearly 4 months old now and literally foot loose and fancy free. By literally, you have to see his "happy feet." More to come.
