Well! Who knew it could be so much fun. Usually it's a walk for a half hour or a trip to the leash free... which is good, sometimes. I watched an episode "At the end of my leash" and got inspired! My dogs, to calm their inside rough housing, need to be more stimulated (and structured!) during their routine exercise. Sooo...

I put on my helmet, straddled my bike and off we went. We started last night. WOW. What an incredibly rewarding experience. Tessa took to it right away. She LOVES it. Cody, because he's part scent hound, has a tendency to tug to the grass but once he's panting, he's on track.

We go at a steady trot, and sometimes Tessa pulls me for a bit and as soon as I give her leash a tug, she looks at me and moves back beside me. I couldn't help but smile the entire time. WE went tonight for the 2nd time. Cody is now on the couch and Tessa (panting a little) are both watching t.v. as I type this. No playing, just calm submissive dogs.

High five to me!!
LOL
