Hi All -

Well, I am finally home from a looong trip.  Went to Mexico Beach, Fl. and met some new friends of my Mom & Dad.  They had 2 children who were really nice to me.  Even fed me treats yum :).  But, didn't like to take a walk on what they call grass there.  Too many sand spurs!!!  Poor Mom, had to pick them out of my feet every time we came back from walking.  She must have taken out at least 200 of them. And the sand there looks kinda white/grey but when it gets wet it turns dark grey.  So besides the sand spurs I had to have my feet washed also (turned my nice white feet black UGH!).  Won't go back to Mexico Beach again.  Mom says if we have to I'll be wearing these neat tube socks she found in Petsmart there (no Petsmart near us in N.C.) on the day before we left.

Then I thought we were going home but NO - Dad decided to go to Jekyll Island, Ga.  So here I am stuck in Dad's big truck with the cats driving clear across the state of Fla. to get to Jekyll Island.  Couldn't even sit on the nice cushioned center console because Patches was there.  Ya see she gets car sick and that is the only place she likes to sit and for some reason doesn't get sick.  If you want to see something funny it's her being sick.  She looks like a kid making lots of little spit bubbles at one time.  At least she doesn't throw up.  And if I am on the console she decides to either let out a loud scream or some sit on me (not funny) until Mom puts me on her lap (which is really nice).

Jekyll Island was nice.  Great grass to walk and play on - no sand spurs.  Oh there were spurs outside our back door so Mom and Dad didn't walk me there.  Saw the Ocean and ran from the waves.  Scarry thing those waves.  And the water tasted bad - too salty for my taste.  One try was enough for me.  We had a great room right on the beach with a front and back door.  Got a little confused which door to go to - but finally figured it out.  The front one where the nice grass was.

Now we are finally home.  No sand spurs or dirty sand up here.  Missed my grass and leaves.  And the weather up here is nice a cool in the early morn.  Mom had to take me to the groomer when we got back.  She said I looked dirty from all that traveling.  Now I look soooo white and cute (which I am of course).  Still trying to get use to Max.  He wants to play but I don't know how to play with a cat yet.  I run up to him and he runs away - what's up with that.  Than when I am napping on my back he walks up to me and sniffs my butt ugh!  But, Dad or Mom warn me he is around so I don't get scared by him.  Last thing I want is a cat sniffing my butt while I'm sleeping and it wakes me up - don't know what I will do to that dumb cat.  So hence the little wake up by my parents.

Well, thought you all would like to hear about this little adventure I had.  Going to have another one soon.  My Aunt and Uncle from Fl. are coming up for a visit Sunday.  They will be here for about a week.  And do they love me.  Will let you know what we all did after they leave.

Take care eveyone, have to go out for a ride to Lowes.  Kisses to all - Rambo

Thank you.  But we are on the far West Side of N.C.  about 12 miles from Tenn.  Don't think it is as wide as the state of N.C.  At least Fl. was spared.  Just hope it is only a tropical storm when it hits R.I. - have family there.  Have a great weekend.

What an adventure. And now, home just in time for a hurricane. Stay safe.
