Member Since 2009 Socializing Marco

Marco is such a different dog than the one we adopted eight short months ago. He finally has become so calm and happy in his home "safe zone" that I'm finally comfortable to begin exposing him to real life, meaning other people, whom he has always been so petrified of. Member Since 2009 Another near miss

I've become quite the NYCACC connoisseur, perusing the Web site daily and attempting to call (despite the absurdly long hold time) regularly about dogs of interest. I came thisclose to adopting a doodle last weekend, but he was adopted by someone else in the 90 minutes it took me to drive to the Staten Island shelter.

Member Since 2009 Part 25 of My name is Marco and This is My Story.......

The New Year's eve fireworks have finally started and my Marco is NOT a happy boy!!! He has been so calm and peacefully settled during the previous months, so it really surprised me how frantic he became when the noise started.

Although he's only been with us a short 7 months it seems like a lifetime. I have no other knowledge of his upbringing other than knowing he was chained inside a storage shed in someone's backyard for the first two years of his life. As the fireworks continue… Continue

Well the first snow for Max and I - what a treat that has been. Ventured out Saturday night after 11 pm to shovel some snow. Since it was quiet and late I figured Max would get a bit of romp time - Given I hadn't seen him in deep snow before I didn't know what to expect. Member Since 2009 My how FAST they GROW!!!

It seems like just yesterday my Brody Bones was just a sad little puppy that was shaved due to a neglected coat, and now he's a furry horse! He's enormous, much bigger than I expected... like Chewbacca from Star Wars... only white.

Chris left for work around 8:30 tonight... and I thought, well, it's nice and quiet, the fire is going and the dogs are really chill. Perhaps this might be a good time to introduce some scissors to my girl. She was soooo good. I brushed out her face and her ears (again) and decided to use the thinning sheers so that I didn't make the edges too 'straight.' I think it turned out nicely! She's looking quite fluffy and cute. After much research, I have decided I am going to start grooming Tessa myself! OH god! I know.. am I crazy?? I think in the long run, I will save money and Tessa will be less stressed. I just recently cut the fur away from Tessa's eyes. I do tidy-ups on her when her curls start to get a little wild. Anyway she was look particularly cute tonight. I had to take a couple of photos to share with my Doodle friends :)
