Part 20 of My name is Marco and This is My Story.......

Yesterday I learned Lesson #1 which is "don't ever try to explain over the phone to a dog groomer you've never used before what kind of cut you want...... and I also learned Lesson #2, "don't trust your husband to properly convey the grooming instructions either".... hahahahah. I'm still wondering what Lesson #3 might be but I'm content with leaving it with the first two.

We recently heard of a really great "traveling dog groomer" that several of our neighbors use and love. She has a… Continue

GabbieDoodle

Gabby is my first foster dog and my first doodle. She came from the wonderful people of Arizona Poodle Rescue.

Gabbie was found by animal control wandering the streets of Phoenix. She was filthy and parasite-infested. She was so shy of people that if anyone just reached out a hand to her she darted as quickly and as far away as she could.

When I picked her up she had been clipped but still needed that flea and tick bath. She was terrified of the car and had to be… Continue

Part 19 of My name is Marco and This is My Story.......

Well, it's finally happened......after years and years of loving and having animals I FINALLY know what it feels like to have a lapdog. Being a "big dog" lover I have always had large babies and never really experienced a true to form "lapdog" before. Over the years, all of my dogs have been a huge part of my life and heart, and have always been close by me wherever I may have been, but never in my lap......I now have a lapdog, although he's pushing 60 lbs.

I'm not sure if it's the… Continue

Regarding Accusation, Innuendo and Outright Lies

I will never understand why some people feel the need to create lies about other people. Whether out of jealousy or greed, those people are very small individuals. I firmly believe in karma and what you put out into the universe will come back to you. Those who send out lies, will eventually be caught in their own web of lies. This is happening right now with a person who is spreading lies about us.

Here is the truth. We are an all volunteer group of caring people who have the…

Finnegan

I met Finnegan yesterday and he was just as wonderful and perfect in person as he is in his pictures. He's calm, gentle and seems older than his 2 years. He has what my grandmother used to call "an old soul." It was great meeting Lynne also, who lives only a couple of miles away from me, and it's clear that Finnegan has really been enjoying the company of Lynne's three dogs and her family. Lynne has a wonderful house - it's like a dog-paradise. Finnegan is going to stay there for a few more… Continue

Part 18 of My name is Marco and This is My Story.......

Saturday is my one day a week to sleep in which I totally cherish....this morning I woke up and found Marco stretched out full length beside me on Rob's side of the bed (Rob doesn't allow him in bed with us) but as soon as Rob's feet hit the ground in the morning our boy jumps up to join me....Lilly our cat was cuddled up next to me under the covers on the other side, and of course Max, our other cat and the Alpha of our home was at my feet.....what a Glorious way to begin the day! Just having… Continue

Part 17 of My name is Marco and This is My Story.......

Last week was a very busy week for us. On Saturday we got our very first rescue foster doodle "Brandy" through IDOG. She is a very shy and needy girl who needs lots of love and attention. When I first met her I was reminded of Marco when we first adopted him. For the first day or two she would occasionally sit on our stairway mid point and just watch us. She was also very good when I leashed her to go outside to do her business.

But her favorite place to chill was under our bed which… Continue
