"Had that all important visit to the vets for neutering. Friendly did great. Trying to keep him quiet afterwards was the hard part! And the fact that he was starving and couldn't eat til the next day."

First Month with Friendly

Very interesting two weeks with Friendly due to the flooding in our area. I think he adjusted better than me! He has been doing some sleepovers at my son's home and likes it there too. Friendly loved the FEMA guy that come to access the damages, what a dog! Basic obedience training has been excellent. His only trouble so far has been: he is easily distracted.

"Friendly had his first vet visit today. The vet said he was a real cutie and a great all round dog. Only real problem is wax in his ears, which I got a rinse plus drop for 10 days. Did good on the leash in the rain no less. It is like Noah's Ark…"

After searching for the perfect doodle to train as therapy dog, he arrived at a dog park last Sunday thanks to Apple Canyon Critters Rescue. We named him Friendly and he is adjusting to his new home nicely. Will keep you posted on his progress and training.

Good Morning Mary,
We have been looking since December. I am checking many shelters now, but have missed many dogs. I am not involving the 5 year old after we got so close in the beginning and then did not get to meet the dog. What are the characteristics you are looking for? I could be watching for you also.

Mary, Welcome. I live in your area from Rio Grande. I too am looking for a labradoodle. Maybe in the future we could get our dogs together. Good luck with your search
