Miss Chloe does not like thunder, last week I thought she was having a seizure , a heart attack or just going to die. I did the mom thing sat held, and petted her. Shaking panting heart racing went on for almost an hour. She calmed down and seemed fine later that evening. The next day when I went to work, I'm a MRI tech, we have neuro-vet pts. I asked the neuro-vet about Chloe. He states what happened was most likely not a seizure. If it happened again I should film her, and bring her…

Anyway, The searching and listing takes a lot of time, but with all of us doing some, it's not so bad. Sue was walking you through doing that & anytime you want to jump in with that you are welcome to.
You could Welcome new members, get some members active with discussions, start a blog or a discussion about your experiences. You could help us raise funds with our Raffle and tee shirt sales. That will help keep us going, too. This site and the services I get with it cost about $300 a year, we're good until July but if it could just sustain itself that would be nice.
I am the type that has trouble asking for help so any help you can and would like to do would be VERY welcome and appreciated (unlike elsewhere). I always wanted this to be a "Collective" where many could claim ownership. It became something I was not very proud of, but it is becoming that real COLLECTIVE as we go on, now. Hugs, Lynne

Hi Jo and Thank you so much for offering to help. You are welcome to jump in where ever you feel comfortable. If you come request membership of our RRC Volunteer Group, I will let you in where you can read some of the hows, ways, whys, whats that need to be done. As far as fostering, if you see a dood/poo-mix, and want to just go get him (sound familiar?) I will help you find him a home through this site & the listings and our Petfinder page. You keep the adoption fee. That's why I call it "Foster Partners." With most "Rescues" the foster does all the work & has trouble getting expenses reimbursed, or is told who will adopt the dog, and other crap...and then has to send the Adoption Check to the rescue who did nothing, basically. That is why I decided to start fostering on my own. The rescue will say it's because they do all the paperwork (so?) and the listing (so?) and have the non-profit paper (so?) and are the experts (huh?) and the foster is volunteering food, home, damage, time, etc. and gets nothing but "satisfaction." So? I think unless the rescue put out a lot of money for vetting or other expense, the foster puts out much more on average and should at least share the fee. If anyone is looking to make money on rescue, then they are in the wrong business and do not have the dogs best interest at heart. That was one thing that was wrong with one "rescue" and another I worked with did absolutely nothing but the transport fee and wanted the check and paperwork. I believe more dogs could be saved and people wouldn't feel like their house was being used for someone else to pay their phone bill and rent, then get mad when you ask for reimbursement for food. You know who I am talking about.
You wouldn't send anything to me, you would just post the dogs onto this website under whichever region they belong.
Have you checked out the RRC Volunteers discussion? It provides a good explanation of how to cross post.
Oh, the chat box near the bottom. You just type into the little box. It should show who is online.
OH, and the chat? I'm not sure what chat you mean?
I know all about brain fog...LOL. I don't function until I had at least two coffees in the morning.
Jo, the emails would just get sent to whatever email you used to set your account up. All you are doing is checking off the "email me" box for new listings. OK, let's back up. Did you do a search for poodles using a northwest or midwest zip code? If so, then when you got the results you should have seen an option to "save this search". Click on that and you should see the box for "email me".
