If you have had fostering experiences, good or bad, we want to hear about it. Your experience will help others learn. One story involves the foster wanting to keep the dog and it turned ugly because the rescue said no. It doesn't have to be this way. Rescues should consider their fosters, as partners. If they don't, there are other rescues to volunteer with. On the other side of it, rescues need the foster to do certain things. Being open and honest will help everyone. Read the foster contract, know your rights, know your responsibilities and know your limits. Add your story to our FOSTER STORIES, a new series.

OUR REHOME SERVICE CELEBRATES FINDING HOMES FOR 26 OODLES SINCE JUNE 2010 - WOO HOO!

Our Newest Rehome Needs includes two brothers in Florida. Moose and Tigger are beautiful Chocolate Doodles who are losing their home because of the economy. Moose and Tigger are 1 and a half years old and are great with kids and leash trained and crate trained and very bonded. We really want to keep them together to prevent any further trauma for them. READ MOREand please consider these two darlings.

We are also looking the find a home in NJ for Kailey. Kailey is a gorgeous older Cockapoo living in Bernardsville, NJ. She is more mature and mellow and is not adjusting very well to babies in the home. She is a beautiful, well behaved lady who needs an adult only home to call her own. READ MORE and give this girl a chance.

Seamus needs his own home. He is such a sweet boy and has been left over and over, as he watched his litter mates get adopted, but not him. He is so sweet, loves to just be near you and will be such a wonderful companion, he just needs a chance. He could be an Airedoodle (Airedale/Poodle), he could be a Bordoodle (Border Collie/Poodle) but whatever he is, he's sweet, smart and loving. Adopters should read "Etiquette for Applying to and Dealing with Rescue and Shelter People." It is a helpful read if you are searching for your Forever Friend. Stop sending inquiries and asking questions. Most are volunteers and don't have the time. Fill out applications, lots of them. Make sure you match the requirements and increase your chances.

And...if you are about to "Bring That Rescue Dog Home," you should keep a few things in mind in the first few weeks.
