A message to all members of Rescue Resource Collective
THIS WEEK on the Rescue Resource Collective:
This week brought both happy and sad news to the Rescue Resource Collective Family. Sadly, the doodle boy that we sent out a plea for help with emergency surgery, did not make it. Grant has gone to The Rainbow Bridge and our "collective hearts" go out to Elizabeth Gunn of Gunn Dogs Rescue, AR who worked tirelessly to save him and all the "Arkansas 8" Doodles without the benefit of promised aid. Happy News - Elizabeth Gunn has joined our "Collective of Rescue Friends" and will have a place and a home on The Rescue Resource Collective for a long time to come. As someone who has worked many years in rescue, Eliz brings her expertise, honesty and friendship to us and we look forward to her "Doodle Soup" blogs and words of wisdom. Please stop by her group page, join and say hello.
Our other new Collective Friend, Poodle Rescue of Vermont has also joined our "Collective of Rescue Friends." Stop by and welcome them on their new group page.
Group Pages will be a place to highlight dogs in the program, share news and rally behind a cause. If you have a rescue or other dog related business and would like to start your own "Collective Friends" group, drop me a note and we will get you set up. rescuecollective@gmail.com
Other Happy News - Oodles of Doodles, Inc. Rescue is now incorporated in the state of NJ as a Non-Profit. This gives us legal credibility and protection under the law and will also, hopefully, allow us to continue our mission and grow as an important force in the "Doodle Rescue World" without the threats of those who would see us fail. Thank you to all of you who have supported us in the past six months as we reorganized and now, as we are moving forward. We have much to look forward to in the months to come.
The SOLD OUT Doodle Messenger cards are in the mail. We are awaiting them any day and want to thank everyone who supported this very worthy cause. Thankfully, our Oodles are strong and well and we are here to help other Doodle Families who are going through unimaginable medical trials. Please Visit The Doodle Messenger and read the stories and help them, help Doodles in Need. We can't wait to see the next set of cards (start getting those photos together).
If you haven't yet had a chance to check out out new feature DOODLE SOUP, stop by. We are seeking Guest Bloggers and are lining up some very interesting topics in the weeks to come. Send topic ideas and if you would like to be a highlighted Guest Blogger to rescuecollective@gmail.com.
