2011 was our First Full Year as Oodles of Doodles Rescue Collective and we thought this was a great time to Look Back a bit.

The First Dog saved in the New Year was Chanel, a beautiful Doodle we rescued from a high kill shelter in KY, who is now a loved family member living in PA. The Last Dog saved and adopted in 2011 was Bubbles, adopted by our own wonderful foster, Becky. Bubbles wrapped Becky's husband, Tom around her little paw and wound her way into their hearts.

In between, Chanel and Bubbles, Oodles of Doodles rescued, rehomed, transported, vetted and found homes for 148 dogs in 2011. (We almost had 150 but it fell through the day before New Years Eve.)

All in all, it was a very successful year and despite some challenges and struggles, we came through and will continue to thrive and survive into 2012.

I am very Thankful to certain people, who without their love and support, I am not sure I would have continued.

Sue, Susan and Jeannine - You were the first to stand by me, up for me and with me. I will never forget that.

Elizabeth, Shannon and Judy, without your counsel, I don't know if I would have continued on through the turmoil.

Toni, Carla and Gail, without you, we would not be as successful as we were this year.

Kelly, Becky, Lisa, Connie, Marilou, Adrienne S., you are the best team of Foster Partners on the Planet. It is because of YOU that we are able to save so many. You always take our foster babies, sometimes sight unseen. You love them, teach them and prepare them for their Forever Homes.
