Member Since 2009 Comment by block this on March 12, 2011 at 10:56am: A book about a dog - "Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog" by Ted Kerasote. Not to be read as a guide to dog training or behaviour because this dog is allowed to run free. But wonderfully written and a very good read (tissues required!).

Jac and I have talked about it many times. But the rescue keeps us hopping. There are many stories here on these pages. Feel free to interview or ask for stories. Comment by Linda Lynch on December 18, 2009 at 4:03pm: Well everyone- this 6 month search that culminated in finding wonderful "lizzy" and becoming aware of this wonderful group of people on this site has spurred me on to something that I'd never thought I'd do. Many people have told me I should but I think the dedication that everyone here shows has given me the perfect reason. I've already started a book(presently named "The Journey) about my schnauzer, Lizzy and other critters I have known. If you wish to contribute a story, feel free to send. Don't know if it will ever get published but you can bet if it does, anything sold will bring this great group more money to keep going! Wish me luck.
