This is a great site. I love books about dogs. I've read Merle's Door, The Art of Racing in the Rain, A Dog's Purpose and others that I can't think of right now. The book mentioned above - A Dog's Mind.... I'm going to look for it. We often wonder what goes on inside those beautiful heads. Good idea to have a book club!!!
"Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo ...................This really isn't about dogs but it helped me/us so much when we lost our last Lab on May 1st. It's a true accounting of a 3 year old's trip to Heaven and back.
After reading this we know we WILL see our beloved pets again.
"Rescuing Sprite" by Mark levin--an easy read that makes you laugh and cry.
Another good one is "A Dog's Purpose" a novel for humans by W. Bruce Cameron, also written through the eyes of a dog who keep getting reincarnated. Any dog lover will like this one too!
"The Art of Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein. This is just a novel, written through the eyes of Enzo the dog. It will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. I just love Enzo!
