*Favorite Pastime: Chasing a Ball!
Tess is a sweet 3 year old black labradoodle (4 in March) with her dewclaws removed. She weighs 60 pounds and her vet says “Tess is the perfect canine specimen”!
She is a highly intelligent dog with a very high energy level. She loves to swim in the ocean, lake, or pool. But her very favorite activity is chasing the ball.
She is housebroken, leash trained, and has excellent manners. But she will chase cats and squirrels given the opportunity. She cannot have stuffed animals as they are the only thing she will chew up. She has never chewed any furniture. She is allowed on one daybed, but never gets on any of the other furniture.
Tess came to live with us three years ago from the pound. We already had two labradoodles, but Tess was on the short list to be put down as the pound was overfilled. We took her with the intention of finding her a good forever home. After working through small socialization issues and working with her high energy level we feel that she is now ready. She definitely needs an experienced dog owner who has a very active lifestyle that will include Tess. A fenced in yard with a pool would be ideal. She is good with other dogs and children but has accidentally knocked down smaller children who try to throw the ball for her.
Tess, is a great girl who lives in Daytona Beach, FL. The family would prefer not to adopt her a long distance as they would like to meet her new family, but will consider it if the there seems to be a perfect fit at a long distance. They want what is best for Tess.
The perfect family will be active with older (over 8) children, be dog savvy and be able to devote time and love to Tess. A fenced yard is desirable.
Rehome Fee $350.
If you are interested in applying for Tess, please fill out an online application which will be sent to the family.
