MAGGIE - Adopted October 8, 2011

Pulled from Providence, RI shelter by our foster partner, Adrienne S., Maggie was a matted mess. Today, Maggie is named Pearl and loving her new family.

Hi Adrienne!

Just wanted you to know that everything is going wonderfully with Maggie and our family. She is sweet as can be, and has enjoyed running through the fields with the boys, exploring the coastline, snuggling on the couch--and now, as we are packing the car, she is sitting in the car making sure she doesn't miss out on another exciting ride! She is a very calm and happy girl. Thanks for launching her so beautifully into her adoption.

You may be disappointed to hear that we have indeed renamed her Pearl. We are calling her "Maggie Pearl" to make an easy transition, and she seems to be getting the hang of it--whether it's the names or just the sound of our high-pitched encouraging voices, I don't know. Anyway, we think she is small, precious, and has a nice shiny glow, so Pearl suits her well. I hope you'll grow to like it!

She's eating well, taking her medicine, sleeping curled up on our bed, and coming when we whistle! We're all thrilled!
