When IDOG Rescue was asked by a Texas kill shelter if we could possibly help a 4 year old labradoodle who was heartworm positive and also blind, but really deserved to live because he was the sweetest boy, we just couldn’t say no. 

We knew that we could deal with the expense and time of getting him through heartworm, and we hoped for a miracle for his sight. 

Jake has been to a specialist who says that he can restore Jake’s sight with surgery to remove cataracts.  Even with a rescue discount, this will come to over $3,500
