Having had the absolute joy and pleasure of owning both golden's and lab's over the years, I say that they are both aweome companions and recommend that you not try to be too analytical about which one is the best. Either of the two is without a doubt a fantasic combo with a poodle. Just search for the one who grabs at your heart when you fisrt see him and/or her like what happened with me with my Marco. Because both Goldendoodles and Labradoodles are mixed breed dogs, it really depends on the parents. A large golden (or lab) and a large poodle will likely produce a large dog, likewise with smaller parents or with temperaments. I've seen goldendoodles of all sizes. I have read many of these blogs and each dog seems to have it's own personality quirks. Isn't that the charm of doodles...their great variability?
